Mêvl-bêhè Bî (/ˈsohɘ/ /ˈbɘhè/ [famous] [sap; glue; cement]) is a subtropical Town located in the Vêshëcehê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mêvl-bêhè Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mêvl-bêhè Bî was founded by Brelelè Tsêrêrèj, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Mêvl-bêhè Bî has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 15°C (59°F). Mêvl-bêhè Bî receives an average of 277 cm/y (109 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Mêvl-bêhè Bî covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 736 m (2414 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mêvl-bêhè Bî was founded durring the early 11th century, by Brelelè Tsêrêrèj. The establishment of Mêvl-bêhè Bî was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Brelelè Tsêrêrèj electing to pay people to resettle in Mêvl-bêhè Bî.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mêvl-bêhè Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî is buildings are arranged arround a network of restrictive cobblestone streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Mêvl-bêhè Bî's would-be-castle fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Mêvl-bêhè Bî's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Mêvl-bêhè Bî's grid is powered by hydrogalvanic generators.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Mêvl-bêhè Bî's natural decorations nor waterways.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in Mêvl-bêhè Bî which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.

In Mêvl-bêhè Bî sometimes, near one of the seasonal solstices, the sun appears to split into three and it rains from a clear sky for several hours.

The Flea, Giant near Mêvl-bêhè Bî are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Mêvl-bêhè Bî's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves embarking on a group pilgrimage to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 2 via chanting.
